The 2009 Camarillo air show was as always, a great weekend of fun and flying. The air show featured a really terrific cross section of warbirds and civil aircraft.
Some of the aircraft in attendance included Clay Lacey's F7F Tigercat, the AAF B-25 "Executive Sweet" pictured above, a variety of aircraft from the CAF (Commemorative Air Force, formerly the Confederate Air Force) who brought out their F6F Hellcat, F8F Bearcat, Mitsubishi Zero, and C-46 Commando "China Doll". Other warbirds present included the F4U Corsair, P-51D Mustang, C-53D Sky Trooper, which is a paratrooper version of the C-47, T-28 Trojan, Supermarine Spitfire, Ryan PT-22, BT-13, BT-19, Mig 15, AT-6 and SNJ Texans, Russian Yaks and even a modern day United States Navy E-2C Hawkeye.
Civilian aircraft and performers included an outstanding combination of Pitts Specials, Van RV Kit planes, DC-3, Stagger WIng Beech and even a fly-by from the Good Year Blimp.
